A 501c non-profit organization created in memory of Levi Knock.  The Foundation’s mission is to provide scholarship opportunities for children and young teens in the Arts and Sciences.

LEVI KNOCK, enjoyed music and was a gifted musician on the piano and violin.  He was a member of the West Des Moines Schools, WDM, IA  orchestra since 4th grade.  At his  untimely death at age 15 he was a member of the Valley High School, WDM Schools Orchestra and the Youth Symphony with the Des Moines, IA symphony.

Sampling of scholarships offered and awarded:

  •  Two week orchestra or band camp at North or Roosevelt H.S., Des Moines, IA
  • Family membership or summer camp opportunities to the Science Center of Iowa, the Blank Zoo or Living History Farms.
  • Private vocal, piano, orchestra or band lessons.
  • Art or drama classes.
  • Enrichment classes in the school districts summer programs.

Funding for the Foundation is provided by donations and all profits from the book sales of Joyce Knock, author.
